Heart Rate Monitor is a wellness and personal-record app, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition. Results, charts, ranges, articles and reminders are for general information and personal tracking. They do not replace advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional.
2. Camera pulse estimates have limitations
Camera-based heart rate is an estimate, not a clinical measurement. Movement, lighting, finger placement, skin contact, circulation, camera hardware and device compatibility can affect the result or prevent a reading. A displayed value does not confirm that you are healthy, and the app is not intended to detect an irregular heartbeat or other medical condition. Do not rely on this app for continuous medical monitoring or emergency alerts.
3. Other health values are manually recorded
The app does not measure blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol or weight. Enter those values from a separate measurement source. The usefulness of records and trends depends on the accuracy of the information you enter. Generic ranges and educational articles do not account for your full medical history or individual circumstances.
4. Use the camera safely
Follow the in-app instructions. Gently cover the rear camera lens with your fingertip without covering the flash or pressing hard. Keep your finger and phone still. The flash may get warm; stop if you feel discomfort and let the phone cool. Do not continue a measurement that causes pain or irritation.
5. Seek professional advice when needed
Do not start, stop or change medication or treatment based on this app. Discuss health concerns or unexpected readings with a qualified healthcare professional and use an appropriate medical device when a clinical measurement is needed. If you have severe symptoms or believe you may be experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. Do not wait for an app measurement or reminder.
